Izar System
United Federation of Planets Colony, Alpha Quadrant
An Earth colony was founded on Izar in 2183, and admitted to the Federation later that year. Izar is best known as the home world of the legendary Starfleet Captain Garth.
In 2409, the Izar system was identified as a nexus point between quantum realities, where the “barrier” between universes is particularly thin, leading to a Starfleet Intelligence Research Facility to be built within the asteroid belt between Izar II and Izar III.
