U.S.S. Mad Dog
Bozeman class
Starship Registry NCC-92915
The USS Mad Dog is a Tactically Inclined Bozeman Class Intel Heavy Frigate. Continuing to tinker with the timeless design of the Miranda-class family of starships, The Bozeman-class variant has been outfitted to serve a slightly different role from its siblings by adopting slightly more maneuverability and versatility, at the cost of a small amount of durability. This core concept was further improved upon by equipping the class with Intelligence capabilities - including improved sensor suites and even a cloaking device - in hopes that the Bozeman-class might find an identity of its own that builds upon its other iterative improvements. The Mad Dog was further modified with Stealth Fighter Technologies, putting it more on-par with Escort/Destroyer class vessels.

History
The U.S.S. Bozeman [NCC 1941] was a Soyuz-Class Starship, active in the year 2278 which travelled forward in time to the year 2368 via a Temporal Distortion. Despite being out of time, the crew of the Bozeman still wished to peruse Starfleet’s mantra, and the Maranda Class Variant was upfitted several times through the years, seeing service all the way to the Battle of Sector 001, where of all other ships, it managed to fight off the Borg Cube along side more modern attack vessels such as the Defiant and Akira.
The Maranda Class Starships had always been seen as the general ‘Work Horse’ of Starfleet, being easier to mass produce than larger exploratory vessels, and more adaptable in their loadouts. By 2401 The Maranda Class Starship had been phased out with its newer model the Reliant Class. But as more and more threats began to appear, it was clear that once again the new Reliant ‘Maranda Variant’ would need to be improved upon to respond to the ever-growing dangers in the alpha/beta quadrants.
The Bozeman Class was thus born, taking to heart the shear strength and willpower of the USS Bozeman against the Borg Threat of Sector 001. The ship was given a more aggressive profile, with highly advanced sensors, and after the dissolution of the Khitomer Accords was also equipped with Stealth Technology to help make up for the ship’s defensive shortcomings.
The USS Mad Dog was further modified as a Stealth Fighter during the H’urq Invasion of the Alpha Quadrant, where she would appear in nearly every major advance, leading to the Siege of Empersa. Suffering Major damage, the ship was salvaged by a Romulan Republic Fleet, and returned to Starbase 234 where it has undergone several upfits and Crew Rotations. Now back to full strength, the Mad Dog has been assigned back into the Alpha Quadrant under the 5th Fleet!

Propulsion and Power Generation
The Mad Dog is powered by a Quantum Capacitor Warp Core and has a Class Specific Hyper-Impulse Engines for maximum cruise speed. The Mad Dog is also outfitted with Impulse Capacitance Cells which can give the ship faster than full-impulse speeds amid combat. It also has a stand alone Transwarp Computer to better regulate power fluctuations to increase warp duration, and refresh times between Slipstream Jumps.
Tactical and Defensive Systems
Offensive
The Bozeman Class has several mission pods attached, which hold primarily tactical applications. The Top Mission Pod houses the Quantum Warhead Module which increases its Torpedo Yield Output by a multiplication of six. These Dedicated Torpedo Launchers can send out six additional volleys before automated systems recharge, giving the Mad Dog quite a powerful punch.
If that were not enough, the side mission pods atop the Starboard and Aft Nacelle Struts house the Torpedo Salvo Module which houses an array of warheads for various purposes. This can be an additional Quantum Torpedo Barrage along with standard Torpedo Launchers and the Warhead Module, along with Warheads Equipped with Ionized Gas Sensors or Nadeon Detonators or to launch specialized Quantum Based Variable Auto Targeting Armaments
As if she did not have enough teeth, The bottom Mission Pod below the Deflector, houses the Quad Heavy Phaser Cannons which can quickly break down enemy shields allowing her large allotment of torpedoes to hit their marks.
Defensive
The ship is protected with a integrated Quantum Phase Shield Array which utilizes quantum phase transitions to help sustain the shield matrix. Also equipped is an emergency Ablative Hazard Shielding grid which activates a secondary shield over critical systems when standard shields have failed, or as an amplification of the current shield grid. The Mad Dog also comes equipped with a Variable Assault Deflector Array which can channel auxiliary power into the fore shield grid, amplifying it allowing the Bozeman Class to go toe-to-toe with much larger enemies and survive massive assaults. Along with this, the ship’s deflector is capable of generating a Quantum Destabilizing Beam which fires a concentrated beam from player’s Deflector at a single target. While active, the target takes heavy Phaser damage and has its power levels siphoned to you.
Command and Control Systems
The Bozeman Class is one of the few dedicated Starfleet Vessels constructed with Stealth Capabilities in mind. An Integrated Cloaking Device is installed into the ship which is further amplified by Image Hull Refractors allowing for a ‘low power cloak’ and still maintain shielded defensive capabilities.
Advanced Active Sensor Arrays come standard with the class, allowing for the ship to perform deep scans on their target to reveal and exploit ship system vulnerabilities.
